Our mission is to produce salmonid species of unparalleled quality through environmentally friendly and traceable production methods, prioritizing fish welfare at every stage.
The team
Who are we?
Driva Aquaculture was founded in 2016 by Norwegian entrepreneurs Olav Skjøtskift and Stein Kjartan Vik. Soon Bjørn Hembre, a veteran from the fish farm industry joined, and in 2018 Vidar Lund, with extensive experience from some of the best and most professional breeding programs in the world, including MOWI (Atlantic salmon), Rauma (Atlantic salmon) and the GenoMar Supreme Tilapia (Nile tilapia) joined the team.
The founders and main owners are seafood enthusiasts with complementary backgrounds; and have a shared vision to produce profitable and sustainable delicious mountain trout in land-based facilities.
The team has professional background from operational management from the salmon farming industry, management & business development from various industries and sports management:
